People in general, love modified cars, for the only reason that, we want our cars to be different and stand out in a crowd, especially if the car is a very popular one and one can find it everywhere, but the problem is dedicating time towards modifying the car. So, if the car is offered at the showroom, but with modifications, it really is a win-win situation for everybody. This particular dealer in Bangalore, Kalyani Motors has understood this and is now offering the Maruti Suzuki Swift Platinum edition. Mind you, this is a dealer level-variant and this variant has not been launched officially by Maruti Suzuki.
Up-front, the Platinum edition gets a closely meshed silver front grille and air dam in chrome instead of black plastic, the headlamp cluster is smoked-out, and the cluster now has LED daytime running lights and a projector headlamp instead of the plain-jane reflector type headlamps. The dealer has fitted the car with a full blown body kit, which includes side skirts, Front bumper spoiler, rear bumper spoiler and a roof mounted spoiler as well. The tail lamp cluster too has been given the LED treatment, and the changes to the side profile include racy graphics stretching from the front door, all the way till the C-pillar. The car now gets some tidy looking Grey alloy wheels and side body decals with the ‘Swift’ logo.
All these accessories drastically change the looks of the car. It now looks stunning to say the least and looks like its a concept car, and the fact that you can actually drive it on the road makes the deal sweeter. The modifications don’t apply only to the exterior, but applies to the interior as well. The seats now get classy, grey coloured artificial leather covers, and the stereo system offered will include four speakers, two tweeters and an amplifier and the customer can choose from brands on offer i.e. JBL, JVC, Sony and Alpine. This shows a customer-centric approach and this works very well in India.
All this does come at a price though, and a very high price at that. The whole package will cost INR 1.40 lakhs over the stock car. The package is available on both petrol and diesel models, across all variants. And the warranty of the car remains the same as on the stock Swift.
