Maruti Suzuki to launch Wagon R Stingray pretty soon in India

Maruti Suzuki, the no. 1 selling car and the largest manufacturer in the Indian market is planning to launch the Wagon R Stingray in the festive season coming ahead after the recent launch of the limited edition Swift RS. Maruti has already obtained decent sales of the current generation Wagon R in the Indian market. The upcoming Wagon R Stingray is expected to be loaded with more features when compared to the current gen Wagon R at an additional cost of 30000-50000 INR.

After a recent hit of Wagon R Stingray in Japan, Maruti is now expecting the same to happen in the Indian market as well. Already the car has been caught on cameras by CarSizzler’s during an official shoot when Maruti Suzuki was working on the upcoming Wagon R Stingray’s brochure.  The all new Stingray would feature a new set of projector headlamps replacing the ordinary halogen lamps, bold upfront with wrap around headlamps, chrome grills and an all new gun-metal colored alloy wheel. It would also feature a tall bonnet, large air dam and crystal clear tail lamps.

Stingray’s interiors is expected be sportier than the current gen Wagon R which would comprise of all black interiors with blue backlight speedometer. Coming to the technical specifications, Wagon R Stingray would be powered with the same 1.0-litre 3 cylinder K Series petrol engine already seen in the current gen Wagon R which produces a maximum power of 68 PS at 6200 RPM and a maximum torque of 90 Nm at 3500 RPM.
