To pay tribute to the release of the highly anticipated Rajnikanth-movie, Kabali that is set to release on July 22nd 2016. A Maruti Suzuki dealer in Tamil Nadu has joined the likes of Air Asia and Airtel by launching an exclusive ‘Kabali Edition’ of the Maruti Swift.
The launch of Swift Kabali Edition is like God Gift for fans of Rajnikanth. It gets an exclusive wrap all over the bonnet, roof, front fenders and doors with the picture of Super Star with the name of Character being played by him – A Gangster named Kabali. A tailgate sports the dialogs in Tamil ‘Baasha’ taken from the movie spoken by the Rajnikanth.
It’s purely a styling package, without any changes in the interior or powertrain. The Kabali Edition is based on the Maruti Swift VDi, which is powered by a 1.3-litre DDiS turbodiesel engine that churns out 75 Bhp and 190 Nm of torque paired to a 5-speed manual gear transmission system. The average mileage of the car with diesel engine is 25.2 KMPL.
To be honest, the wrapping job looks a bit wacky but we won’t be surprised if there is competition among customers to buy this Swift Kabali Edition. Anyway, this is a great marketing technique to pull the buyers into the dealership. Mind you, this is a dealer level-variant and this variant has not been launched officially by Maruti Suzuki.
