Country’s highest selling car in the C-segment, Maruti Ciaz will soon come with ISOFIX mounts for child seats.
ISOFIX child seat mount minimize the risk of injury in case of an accident
Compared to its head-on rival the Honda City, the Ciaz comes equipped with a lot of features and equipment, however, misses out on ISOFIX mounts for child seats. Whereas, the City gets ISOFIX mounts as standard across the range. Thus, Maruti Suzuki will be offering the ISOFIX mounts on the rear seat of the Ciaz very soon.
ISOFIX mounts are used to fit child seats to the car’s rear bench. These mounts ensure that the child seats in the dedicated position even in the event of a hard collision. They are designed to secure a combined weight of 33 kg. The child seats can be secured with seat belts too but ISOFIX mounts are better for safety.

Although, Maruti Suzuki hasn’t made any official announcement yet but an image of a leaked brochure confirms this new addition.
