Not long now before the Mahindra TUV300 gets its official debut! Spotted earlier, cloaked in little camouflaged, the upcoming compact SUV has now been captured without any white wrap used to protect the metal panels from scratches before delivery.
In profile, the TUV300 has a boxy design with 5-doors, swept back headlamps, a flat roof and a spare wheel mounted on the tail gate. The top-end variant is evident from the body-colored bumpers, door handles, door mirrors and spare wheel cover, chrome inserts for the Jeep-inspired grille & rectangular fog lamps, stylish 15-inch alloy wheels and blacked out B- & D-pillars. Also note the presence of a rear wiper, rear parking sensors and a step integrated for access into the third row in the rear, on this top-end variant.
In our previous TUV300 article, we have revealed spy pictures of the interior following that the company has officially released the pictures of the dashboard. Like the dud-seller Quanto, the TUV300 is a 7-seater (5 adults + 2 jump seats), the jump seats at rear are strictly for kids. The top-end variant will feature a black dashboard with silver inserts, it gets an infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and AUX and USB ports.
Based on an all-new platform, TUV300 will debut a new mHawk80 1.5-litre three cylinder diesel motor whose specifications are not available at the moment. This unit is believed to be a reworked version of the Mahindra Quanto. Apart from a 5-speed manual transmission, an AMT is also likely to be on offer.
Mahindra TUV300 is scheduled to launch on September 10, 2015.
