As we told yesterday Mahindra XUV500 has lived up to its image grabbing over 5000 bookings in the first 6 days across 5 cities of its launch. Speculations are galore that due to the supply constraint, the utility vehicle manufacturer, Mahindra has stopped accepting bookings for the W8 4WD variant of Mahindra XUV 500. The Mahindra XUV 500 was launched on 29th of September and has been accepting the bookings from five cities across the country including, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune and Delhi since 1st October.
The Mahindra XUV 500 was launched amidst a huge fanfare of around 1 lakh viewers watching the live telecast of the show through their TV sets or internet. The popularity has grown in leaps and bounds with 66,000 fans in the social networking site, Facebook. The ‘Guess the Price’ contest initiated by M&M chairman, Anand Mahindra had been a major success with a 1.15 lakh entries. The stupendous response received from the consumers have made the auto manufacturer postpone the media campaign, though the commercial on the new SUV has been aired from 5th October featuring an agile cheetah transforming into the SUV.
