After huge success of Mahindra XUV 500, the company’s sales counters are now filled with booking orders for their latest mini MPV Mahindra Quanto. It has garnered over 5000 bookings within a few weeks of its launch. Mahindra too targets to sell 5,000 units of the Quanto each month as of now Quanto is only available in India, Europe, South Africa and Chile exports will begin in 2013. Prices range between Rs 5.82 lakh to Rs 7.36 lakh ex-Thane.
The Quanto model is powered by a 1.5-litre mCR100 engine which comes coupled with twin turbochargers and delivers a peak power of 100 bhp. The major attractions of Quanto include Digital Drive Assist System, Intellipark Reverse Assist, Micro Hybrid Start Stop System, 2-DIN music system with CD, MP3, USB & Aux-in, dual airbags, ABS (Antilock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), engine immobilizer and high speed warning.
Commenting on the response to Quanto, Pravin Shah, chief executive – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra said –
