Mahindra have launched an 8-seater version of their premium MPV, the Marazzo for the Indian market. The vehicle has been launched at a price of Rs. 13.98 lakh for the top-spec trim. Earlier, the Marazzo was just available with 7 seats, with the middle row having captain seats.
The range-topping M8 grade on the Mahindra Marazzo was available only as a 7-seater initially, now the 8-seater version is introduced.
Now, a bench has been added to make the vehicle more convenient. However, only the top-spec trim, the M8, will be having the luxury of 8 seats. It will be priced at Rs. 8,000 more than the previous top-spec trim, which is the 7-seater M8.
The top-spec M8 comes equipped with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED DRL’s, reverse parking camera, 17-inch alloy wheels and faux leather seats. On the safety front, the Marazzo has dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, over-speeding warning alarm and driver seatbelt reminder. The 8-seater Marazzo will have the foldable bench seat in a 40:20:40 split function.

As far as its engine is concerned, the Marazzo is powered by a new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder D15 diesel engine. This engine makes 121 BHP of power and 300 Nm of torque. It comes paired either to a 6-speed manual transmission or an automatic one.
Prices for the Marazzo begin from Rs. 9.99 lakh and go to Rs. 13.98 lakh. The Marazzo has its rivals in the form of the Toyota Innova Crysta, Tata Hexa, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Renault Lodgy. All we can say is that the addition of another seat on the Marazzo will make it more practical and lure more buyers into Mahindra showrooms.
