Mahindra being one of the major manufacturers of SUV in the Indian market had entered into a partnership with Renault. The joint venture only brought the robust Logan until the two companies decided to depart from their partnership. In order to start with, Mahindra introduced its own version of Logan named Verito. Mahindra’s Verito also couldn’t obtain the decent sales in the Indian market. Mahindra also launched the chopped version of Verito named as Verito Vibe, couple of months ago. According to the reports obtained by OverDrive, Mahindra is currently working on a new small car based on the Verito Vibe. Although the other two cars did not obtain success, the new small car from Mahindra is expected to be packed with different features and also better engineered.
Mahindra’s new small car is expected to be powered with new petrol and diesel engines that are currently being developed by the company. These engines would also be introduced in the upcoming Mahindra’s S101. Currently Mahindra known for its range of SUV’s wants to further extend it sales by introducing cars into the smaller segment, which currently Mahindra is lagging.
