Mahindra XUV500 was first launched in 2011 in India with six color options. Today, it has come to light that XUV500 SUV was launched in a new color option – Arctic Blue. With this the XUV500 is now offered in 7 color options – Arctic Blue, Volcano Black, Satin White, Moondust Silver, Tuscan Red, Opulent Purple and Dolphin Grey.
The XUV500 is available in three variants, W6 Front Wheel Drive, W8 Front Wheel Drive and W8 All Wheel Drive. The XUV500 is Mahindra’s flagship product for India and comes with ex-showroom Delhi prices between INR 11.8-14.4 lakhs.
Recently, Mahindra revealed that the XUV500 had achieved a milestone of becoming the fastest selling SUV of the segment in India, when it managed to register 50,000+ sales in just 16 months of launch. The demand for XUV500 is still very high in the Indian auto industry.
Mahindra XUV500 is manufactured at their state of the art plant in Chakan, near Pune. Mahindra plant is producing XUV500 at full capacity of 4,500 units per month, i.e. 150 XUV500′s are produced everyday.
