Mahindra’s 2012 Duro ‘DX’ model, rebadged as Duro ‘DZ’

Mahindra’s 2012 Duro model has been launched in select parts of the country. The new 2012 Duro was earlier called DX. But now, we are told that Mahindra has rebranded the scooter as Duro DZ.The scooter has borrowed the same engine from its predecessor which develops 8bhp and 9Nm but now gets a digital ignition to make it peppier.

The Duro DZ boasts features like dual curve digital ignition system, advanced telescopic suspension, a broad halogen lamp to provide wider range and depth in visibility, an under seat storage capacity of 20 litres and rear brake lock lever for safety & parking on inclines. The Duro DZ has a high ground clearance which allows it to handle bad roads with ease.

Prices of the new Duro DZ at Delhi – Rs 42,332, Andhra Pradesh – Rs 44,640, Kerala – Rs 44,908, Tamil Nadu – Rs 45,235 and Karnataka – Rs 44,760, respectively (Ex-showroom, price). The earlier version will continue to sell and will be priced a bit lower to the new version.
