Lamborghini Urus now on-sale in India: Priced at Rs. 3 Crore

Lamborghini launched its first Super Sport Utility Vehicle, Lamborghini Urus for Rs. 3 crore (ex-showroom, India) creating a new niche in the luxury segment with benchmarking power, performance and driving dynamics, unparalleled design, luxury and daily usability.

Lamborghini plans to build about 1,000 units of the Lamborghini Urus in 2018.

The Urus measuring 5112 mm in length, 2016 mm in width and 1638 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3003 mm and comes with an 85-litre fuel tank. It is based on the Volkswagen Group’s MLB Evo platform, shared with the Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne and the Audi Q7.

Its low-line coupé styling and commanding road position belie the very comfortable ride, higher ground clearance, and luxurious space within together with the latest technologies. The Urus has a coupe-like side profile with bold feature lines. The rear features a roof spoiler, raked windshield and Y-shaped LED tail lights in addition to quad-exhaust tips.

Lamborghini is marketing the Urus as a Super Sport Utility Vehicle.

On the inside, the Urus is available in 4 or 5-seater configurations. The cabin is dressed in a mix of leather, Alcantara, aluminium, carbon fibre and wood. Standard specification offers a uni-colour leather and trim combination in either Nero Ade or Grigio Octans, with five additional colours available as options. Also on the options list are dual-colour Bicolor Elegante and Bicolor Sportivo trim.

Under the hood, the Urus is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that produces 641 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque @ 2,250-4,500 rpm mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and also gets a permanent four-wheel drive with active torque vectoring. It sprints from 0-100 KMPH in 3.6 seconds, and has a top speed of 305 KMPH in the supercar territory.

Lamborghini has allocated only 25-30 units of the Lamborghini Urus to India for this-year.

You get drive selectors that can be selected from 7 driving modes – Strada, Corsa, Sport, Neve (snow), Terra (off-road), Sabbia (sand) and a user customizable EGO driving mode selector listed under the ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligence Management) system.
