KTM had unveiled the all-new KTM RC 390 at the 2013 German Moto GP at the Sachsen ring circuit. After this, the Austrian motor cycle maker KTM had recently unveiled the RC 390 along with RC 200 and RC 125 at the 2013 EICMA Auto Show in Milan. As already read by our dear readers in our previous posts at BharathAutos, KTM had reported that the RC range bikes would be manufactured at the Chakan plant in India.
After the amazing success of the entry-level naked machines Duke 200 and 390 in the Indian market, the Austrian auto major KTM has finally announced that the RC 200 and RC 390 would be coming soon to India in the KTM’s official Indian website. The upcoming RC range motorcycles features nose down, tail up design along with new tank, visible clip-ons for racetrack handling and feedback, super thin seats, vanished tail piece, aluminum/titanium Akraprovic exhaust, rear set adjustable foot pegs, tall windscreen, fairing panels, fuel tank capacity has been reduced by 1.5-litres, seat height has been increased by 50 mm, dual headlights, fairing mounted rear view mirrors and also LED tail lamps. It would also feature chrome molybdenum steel and powder-coated front suspension, WP Suspension Up Side Down rear suspension, Metzeler tyres and Radial brakes.
Coming to the technical specification, RC 390 would be equipped with a 373.2cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, single cylinder, 4-valve engine producing maximum power of 43 Bhp whereas RC 200 would be equipped with a 199.5cc engine producing a maximum power of 25 Bhp.
