KTM 390 Duke

After the recent success of the predecessor of KTM, now its time for the launch of the new KTM 390 Duke. Recently, the KTM 390 Duke was caught testing in Mumbai-Pune highway. The KTM 390 Duke is combined with maximum riding pleasure, easy to handle because of its lightweight, power packed engine. The all-new Duke 390 is expected to be priced around Rs. 2 lakhs.

This version of KTM is equipped with ABS by German biggie Bosch to provide maximum comfort as well as protection even in muddy or curvy hilly roads. In India, it would get optional ABS unit that can be switched on or off by the rider. The rest of the hardware will remain the same as the younger sibling’s except of course the engine.

The 390 Duke caught testing recently showed that the on board fuel-economy calculator of the bike read an amazing 38kmpl and the bike sported Metzeler tyres. But, we expect the real world fuel-economy figure to be in the region of 22-25kmpl. Furthermore, Metzeler tyres which comes from a brand Pirelli is speculated to be replaced by the cheaper MRF Zappers.

Coming to the technical specifications, it comes powered with a 373.2 cc engine with a maximum power of 44 HP at 9,500 rpm at a torque of 35 Nm at 7,250 rpm, fuel and Ignition system has been provided by Bosch and clutch would be Hydraulic operated, front and rear suspension would be WP Suspension Up Side Down and WP Monoshock respectively. It is expected to reach 0-100 km/hr from standstill in 7.0 seconds. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
