Jaguar Land Rover India had launched the Jaguar XE foraying into the all-new segment where it competes against the likes of Audi A4, BMW 3-series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Bookings for the new XE commenced last-month and deliveries will begin from the end of this-month. It is locally manufactured at their plant in Pune.
In India, the XE will be offered in single engine option – 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol unit, but in two states of tune. The standard petrol unit produces 197 hp of power and 320Nm of peak torque, whereas the turbocharged 2.0-litre powerplant delivers 240 hp of power output and 340Nm of peak torque. Both motors come paired to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.
A total of 7 colours are on offer – Polaris White, Rhodium Silver, Blue Fire, Dark Sapphire, Odyssey Red, Italian Racing Red and Ultimate Black.
Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said:
“The most-awaited All-New Jaguar XE has hit the Indian roads today with its powerful stance and seductive looks.
