India’s second largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India, the Korean car manufacturer might add another car to its flock for the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The production of the Hyundai EON LPG variant has been started, followed with an official launch in the next few months. A factory-fitted LPG kit will be installed in the Eon along with the 32-litre petrol tank. The kit will most likely be ARAI-certified and will come with a company warranty.
Just like the Hyundai i10’s Blue Drive technology for enhancing the cleaner and greener environment which seems to be the latest notion of the car manufacturers of late, Hyundai India has incorporated the same technology for Hyundai EON small car.
Fluidic Hyundai Eon was introduced back in October, only in the petrol variant and the company had revealed their intention of bringing the LPG variant of the small car in the Indian market by 2012. The alternative fuel arrangement for the A-segment small car will help Hyundai to bump up the already impressing sales numbers of the Eon.
The company had also commenced the exports of the petrol Eon from its plant in Chennai, starting December 2011. The first export was made to Algeria.
