South Korean carmaker, Hyundai India launched the all-new Elite i20 on 11th, August-2014, priced between Rs. 4.89 lakh and Rs. 7.67 lakh. Aimed at setting a new standard for premium hatchback, the launch marks the World Premier of the 2nd Generation of Elite i20 in India.
A sporty, dynamic and innovative hatchback with class leading unique features, the all-new Elite i20 has been designed using Hyundai’s evolved Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 philosophy. Powertrain
The all new Elite i20 is available with choice of high performance and reliable petrol & diesel engines. The powertrains of Elite i20 have been engineered for delivering combination of high performance and high fuel efficiency.
The 1.2 Dual VTVT Kappa and 2nd Generation U2 1.4 CRDi engines offer maximum drivability in all conditions, delivering high power and torque with high fuel efficiency.The environment friendly U2 1.4 CRDi diesel engine is low on emission and NVH levels; however it operates at a high pressure 1,800 bars and generates high low end torque resulting in lesser gear shifts in city driving conditions for enhanced drive comfort. The linear power delivery and flat torque over wide range of engine rpm’s ensure smooth and jerk free drive. Moreover, the 6 speed manual transmissions of U2 diesel engine ensure maximum availability of full engine output and contribute to smooth shifting resulting in fatigue free ride for occupants.
