Honda’s Super Sport CBR range made an entry into the Indian market through their CBR250R which was launched back in 2011. After recently launching CB Unicorn 160, Honda is now preparing to launch new scooters and motorcycles in the Indian market out of which CBR650F is the much awaited sports bike from Honda competing the likes of Hyosung GT650R and Kawasaki Ninja 650.
The company has also confirmed the launch of the Honda CBR650F in the first half of 2015 and will be targeted to the audiences looking for an upgrade from their single or twin-cylinder to an inline-4 cylinder motor. Honda CBR650F features larger wheelbase, ABS, disc brakes, underbelly exhausts, twin-spar steel frame, telescopic shocks at the front and monoshocks at the rear.
Honda has already started testing the Honda CBR650F in the Indian roads and would be powered with a DOHC inline-4 cylinder 649cc engine coupled to a 6 speed gear box producing a maximum power of 87 BHP at 11000 RPM and a maximum torque of 62.36 NM at 8000 RPM. The upcoming CBR 650F measures 2,110mm in length, 755mm in width and 1,145mm in height, large wheelbase of 1,450mm and is expected to be priced in the range of INR 6-7 lakhs providing a fuel efficiency of 21 kmpl in the Indian roads.
