Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd. (HMSIL) is all-set to wrap off its latest offering the ‘Activa 125’ later today at an event in Mumbai. The Activa 125 was first unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo in February this year. It is the third member in the ‘Activa’ family, after the Activa i and the Activa 110.
Although the new Activa 125 is based on the outgoing Activa, there are many changes that the company has made to the new model. The fascia shows a new design on the part in between the body side indicators. The body panels have been kept clear of any fancy decals. The scooter will be available in four colours- Black, Midnight Blue Metallic, Sword Silver Metallic and Peal Sunbeam White.
The Activa 125 has got some praiseworthy new features like a chrome wing-like strip between a pair of clear lens indicators, a black crown above its bright LED headlight, a well sculpted metallic body, a viscous air filter, a maintenance free battery, a sharp tail light, a large floorboard with a convenient hook, a large and comfortable seat which is a little stepped at rear, black rear view mirrors on a nicely placed handlebar, nicely positioned passenger footrests and high rigidity underbone type chassis.
Other features include a 12-inch alloy wheels at front and 10-inch alloy wheels at rear, a digital console, a combi-brake system, tubeless tyres and an optional disc brake. The Activa 125 is powered by a 124.9cc single cylinder engine that churns out 8.6bhp of power and 10.12 Nm of torque. The company claims that the Activa 125 delivers the best in class fuel economy.
Honda Activa 125 is available in 2 variants: Standard and Deluxe with a price tag of Rs. 57,531 and Rs. 63,645 respectively (both prices mentioned are on-road Delhi). However, Honda Activa 125 has a leading brand value in the scooter segment and has been priced quite reasonably.
