At the 2014 Auto Expo held in Noida, Honda revealed its upcoming Activa 125 scooter. This two-wheeler is all set to go for sale in the market and is now being widely compared with the earlier Activa 110. Let us have a comparative look at the two Honda products in terms of their engine trains, features, fuel efficiency and price details.
The Honda Activa 110 has been powered by a single cylinder, 109cc 4-stroke engine that can produce a power output of 8 BHP and a torque of 8.74 Nm. It features Spring-loaded hydraulic type suspension at front as well as rear. On the other hand, the Honda Activa 125 has been powered by a single cylinder, 124.9cc 4-stroke engine that can produce a power output of 8.6 BHP and a torque of 10.12 Nm. This engine has been coupled with V-Matic CVT transmission. It flaunts telescopic forks at the front and spring-loaded hydraulic type shock absorbers at the rear. The flagship variant of Activa 125 comes with 190 mm disc brake as well. Thus, Activa 125 is definitely high on performance than Activa 110.
Honda Activa 110 comes with a Combi brake system, key shutter mechanism and an inner optional storage box. Along with these features, Activa 125 also offers 5-spoke alloys and a new digital speedometer. It is available in Black, Midnight Blue Metallic, Sword Silver Metallic and Pearl Sunbeam White body colors. However, in terms of fuel mileage and pricing, Activa 110 may appear more appealing. Honda Activa 110 offers fuel efficiency of 60 kmpl while Activa 125 is expected to offer fuel efficiency of 48 to 50 kmpl. The Honda Activa 110 is available at a price of Rs. 49,500 while the Honda Activa 125 is available at a price of about Rs. 56,000 (drum bake variant) and Rs. 63,000 (disc brake variant).
