With the Auto Expo 2018 around the corner, we can expect many new products which are set to be launched by different automakers. Many of them are trying to put their best foot forward to woo audiences during that period. One such automaker is Hero Motocorp, who are set to unveil the new Xtreme 200S in the Auto Expo 2018.
The Xtreme 200S is set for launch in early 2018, and recently an image has surfaced on the internet regarding the production-spec model. It looks almost same as the concept version showcased by Hero Motocorp in the 2016 Auto Expo. Plastic body work instead of carbon and black seats instead of the dual tone are the only changes seen in the production spec bike.
Hero is expected to give the Xtreme 200S an air-cooled, single – cylinder 200cc 4-stroke engine. This gives 18.5 bhp of power along with 17.2 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Features of the Xtreme 200S include LED tail lamp, split grab handles and an analog digital meter cansole. Abs is expected to come as an option and dual tone paint scheme could make the bike look more attractive. Hero claims the Xtreme 200S will be able to deliver a fuel efficiency of about 45kmpl.
Prices are expected to start at around Rs 1lakh which is close to its rivals. It will lack horns with the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200,TVS Apache, RTR 200 4V and KTM Duke 200 in the ever growing premium motor cycle segment. The Xtreme 200S will also be a significant step for Hero, who are planning to launch more premium bikes in the future.
