Seems like most of Hero products, Ignitor motorcycle too will make its appearance silently in the market. The company unveiled 3-new products at the Auto Expo 2012 with Passion Xpro (based on Honda CB Twister), Ignitor (based on Honda Stunner) and Maestro (based on Honda Activa). The company has already launched Maestro gearless scooter in March, and Passion Xpro is scheduled to launch by July-2012.
Now Hero MotoCorp has updated its website with all the information of the Ignitor 125cc motorcycle signaling the launch in the next couple of days and website does mention the price of the motorcycle in metro cities. The Ignitor will be available in two variants:
Hero Ignitor comes equipped with a digital speed panel and an analog RPM meter. The split seat will allow you a better grip over the bike while riding and also gives an sporty appeal to the motorcycle. Both you and your pillion rider will find the split seat comfortable.
Features of Hero Ignitor –
- New Generation 125 cc ATFT engine
- Striking trapezoidal headlight
- Digital-Analog Combo Meter Console
- Stylish Split Seat
- Dazzling Tail Light
- Dual Tone Rear View Mirrors
- Classy Front Cowl
- Adjustable Rear Shockers
- Body-coloured Rear Grip
Hero Ignitor is fitted with five spoke, alloy wheels that help to enhance the overall appearance of the bike and also comes with an option for a front disc brake. The rear view mirrors are dual tone and come in sleek, pointed hexagon design.
The use of tubeless tires in the Ignitor provides for an increased safety. The tubeless tires mean that even if there is a small puncture in the tire, it will only lead to a gentle deflation instead of the motorbike losing control in the middle of the road.
Rather than the sporty look, the manufacturers also focused on the bikes reliability and that is exactly why the Ignitor comes fitted with a maintenance free VLRA battery. As far as mileage is concerned, the mileage of Ignitor is around 60kmpl.
The battle for supremacy between Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Honda has resulted in all three two wheeler makers launching a slew of products in segments that each other is present in. The coming days will see competition intensifying as Honda seeks to displace Bajaj Auto from its second position in India, while training its guns on market leader Hero MotoCorp.
