Hero MotoCorp to launch Xtreme Sports and Dash in coming months

After the recent launches of the updated Pleasure, Passion PRO TR, Xtreme, Karizma-R and Karizma ZMR, Hero is now set to launch Xtreme Sports (Sport variant of the recently launched Xtreme) and an automatic scooter Dash, therefore adding few more vehicles into their large line up. Both the models were already unveiled in the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year, which has already been read by our readers in our previous posts at BharathAutos.

Below is the list of the 2 upcoming launches:

1. Xtreme Sports:

Hero-Xtreme-Sports

Xtreme Sports is a 150cc motorcycle, which in fact is the sportier version of the Xtreme equipped with more features. It comes with hydraulic telescopic front suspension and a 5-step adjustable setup at the rear. The sports variant also features speedometer with side stand indicator, new front and rear fenders, wider rear tyre, headlight with LED position light and split type seats.

Coming to the technical specifications, Xtreme Sports is powered with 150cc air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine producing a maximum power of 15.2 BHP at 8500 RPM and a maximum power of 12.80 Nm at 6500 RPM. It will be available with 5 colors in the palette.

2. Dash:

Hero-Dash

Hero unveiled the Dash scooter just few days prior to the 2014 Auto Expo. It is significantly designed for unisex consumers and is similar to Maestro in terms of design. It features a 6-litre fuel tank, drum breaks for front and back using Hero’s Integrated Braking System (IBS), side stand indicator, service due indicator, LED tail lamp, key operated external fuel lid and USB mobile charger. It is expected to be launched in the first half of 2015 in the Indian market at a price tag ranging between INR 51000 and INR 56000.

Coming to the technical specifications, it is powered by an air-cooled 110cc four strokeengine producing a maximum power of 8.4bhp at 7500rpm and maximum torque of 9.4Nm at 5750rpm.
