Last-month as promised, Hero MotoCorp has launched the Duet 110cc scooter in two variants – LX and VX at a starting price of Rs. 48,400 (ex-showroom, Bangalore).
The Duet is a unisex scooter with a durable metal body and the overall design language is quite attractive. It gets a 3D emblem and chrome stripe on the side to give it a premium look. Along with exciting features like under-seat mobile charging port, remote seat opening, remote fuel-lid opening, pass switch, service reminder, side stand indicator, throttle position sensor, twin parking lamps and tubeless tyres.
Further sports a wide rear seat and front luggage hook along with a retractable luggage hook. The Duet comes with an integrated braking system and a telescopic fork suspension at the front. A total of 6 colours are on offer – Candy Blazing Red, Pearl Silver White, Grace Grey, Matte Nature Green, Panther Black and Vernier Grey.
Powered by a all-new Hero-developed 110cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder unit produce 8.31 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 8.3 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm that transfers power to the rear wheel via a CVT transmission. The scooter claims to return a healthy fuel economy of 63.8 kmpl. The Duet looks a good value for money option in the segment.
