Now, what do we have here? A browse through the local Harley Davidson website revealed the presence of the new Street Rod 750, based on the Street 750 and takes design inspiration from the iconic XR1200X which has now been discontinued.

Clear to see in the pictures of the Street Rod 750 are a new taller headlight cowl, split seats, new 13.1-liters teardrop fuel tank, drag style straight handle-bar, bar-end mirrors, LED tail lamps and turn indicators and a host of chrome accents. The American bike-maker offers 3 paint schemes on the new model – Olive Gold, Vivid Black and Charcoal Denim.

Under the skin is the same liquid-cooled V-Twin engine which is termed as ‘Revolution X’ engine. While it shares the bore, stroke and displacement with the Street 750, the Street Rod has been tuned to deliver 68.4 BHP of peak power at 8750 rpm and 64 Nm of highest torque at 4000 rpm, the redline is increased from 8,000 rpm to 9,000. The higher output is achieved thanks to a higher compression ratio and larger fuel injection port. The motor continues to get the same 6-speed gearbox and there is no change in the gear ratios as well.

Measures 2,130mm in length and sits on a wheelbase measuring 1,510mm while it has the dry weight stands at 229 kgs. It has a ground clearance of 205mm thus allowing it better performance on Indian roads. A beefier 43 mm USD fork setup up-front and rear suspension now featuring gas-charged dampers ensures increased suspension. The 17-inch wheels come wrapped in 120/70 section and 160/60 section tyres at the front and rear respectively.

The major relief for baby Harley buyers comes with a introduction of dual 300 mm disc brakes (with ABS as standard), considering the most controversial issue of the Street 750 has been braking. The Street Rod 750 also comes equipped with a 3.5-inch electronic speedometer with high-beam, neutral, low oil pressure, turn signals, engine diagnostics, low fuel warning, blade key ignition and fork lock, and locking gas cap.
