Ford Fiesta sedan is being offered at Rs 50,000 discount this festive season so as to accelerate its sales this Diwali. The luring discount is offered on dealers parts and not company’s so that more and more number of vehicles move out the showroom. However, the discount of Rs 50,000 is only on the petrol variants of the all new Ford Fiesta Sedan. The new Ford Fiesta price begins at Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), it is among the costly sedan cars in India, but this move will bring Ford Fiesta in line with Volkswagen Vento, Honda City and Hyundai Verna.
However, the new marketing strategy, where 2011 Ford Fiesta drove across India, has done some good to the new car as Fiesta’s sales have climbed slightly in September 2011. Ford India offers you an exchange bonus, free insurance and accessories worth over Rs 50,000 on Ford Fiesta petrol only till the 31st of October, 2011. New Ford Fiesta has a rugged built and is quite fuel efficient too. Top notch features like voice controlled features, cruise control, multimedia and phone access and a pull drift compensating steering make the car an excellent one. The ride and handling of Ford Fiesta, both on good, bad as well as no roads are nothing short of divine.
All these features give it an upper hand over rivals. But, cost effectiveness is something which was taking away the sheen out of these features. And so, only Maruti SX4 and the Fiat Linea clocked lesser numbers than the 2011 Ford Fiesta. Adding to this, volatile petrol prices subdued the sales of the petrol variant. Hence, this discount is aimed at bringing the new Ford Fiesta price (petrol variant) to levels that can negate the petrol hike and enhance demand.
