Ford India is celebrating after the recent launch of Ford EcoSport on June 26th. As already read by our dear readers at BharathAutos a couple of days ago, Ford India had already obtained 17000 bookings for its EcoSport in just two weeks. This particular launch has not only raised the falling sales of Ford since 8 months but has also increased the sales of the SUV’s giving it an entirely new dimension in the Indian sales market.
Just after a couple of days since last reported, Ford India has obtained over 30000 bookings for its EcoSport. The competitor Renault Duster had managed to obtain 18000 bookings in 2.5 months and is much less when compared to the sales already obtained by the Ford EcoSport in only 17 days.
According to the reports, Joginder Singh, President and Managing Director, Ford India said, “We had high expectations of the Ford EcoSport and the unabated response post the launch has been truly gratifying. Consumers are appreciating the value-for-money proposition that we are offering in the EcoSport’s compelling and smart package. We thank our customers for their overwhelming response and appreciate their patience. The Ford India team is working closely with the suppliers at our Chennai facility to enhance output of the Ecosport to reduce the waiting period and to meet the high demand. We are happy to see consumers spending time in our showrooms, wanting to know more about our vehicles and acknowledging the value proposition we have been always offering on our other nameplates also – Ford Figo, Ford Classic, Ford Fiesta and the Ford Endeavour.”
