In order to spread its presence all across the country Fiat plans to have 100 exclusive dealerships by the end of 2014. The company has already signed agreements with various dealers and its targeting the Tier-1 cities as primary market. The company already has 51 exclusive dealerships in India and will have 16 more by the end of this year.
The company also plans to introduce more after sales support like, mobile service cars and 24×7 roadside assistance. Also it has introduce extended 3 years/1,00,000 km and 2 years/1,50,000 km extended service warranties on its Punto and Linea.
Here`s what Enrico Atanasio, Managing Director (MD), Fiat Group Automobiles India Private Limited, said, “We will open 100 exclusive dealerships by the end of 2013. We have already signed agreements for top 35 cities in terms of market across India.” Atanasio had also revealed that the company would reach the target of 70 dealerships in India by March-2013.
In January-2013, the company inaugurated its 5th exclusive dealership in Noida called ‘Kashyap Fiat’. The facility is spread across 4,000 sq.ft and houses vehicle servicing and auto parts and spares sales facilities. Fiat India will continue its joint service venture with Tata motor until it hits its century of dealership network.
