Online photographs have snapped the BS6 Volkswagen Polo Highline Plus model with a 1.0-liter TSI engine. The car is seen parked at a dealership yard in unknown location.
With the BS6 update, Volkswagen India had replaced the 1.2-liter TSI four-pot engine with the EA 211 family’s new 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine. The German car maker had officially launched BS6 TSI models earlier this-month with prices starting at Rs. 7.89 lakh for the Polo and Rs. 10.99 lakh for the Vento respectively.
This three-cylinder turbocharged BS6 engine delivers a max power of 110 PS at 5,000-5,500 rpm and a max torque of 175 Nm at 1,750-4,000 rpm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and an automatic 6-speed transmission. The hatchback has a fuel economy of 18.24 KMPL while the sedan has a fuel economy of 17.69 KMPL.
In BS6 Polo, this 1.0-liter TSI engine is available in variants of the Highline Plus and the GT. The Comfortline and Trendline variants get a 1.0-liter natural-aspirated MPI engine paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox, which is also available as an option on the Highline Plus.
While the BS6 Vento gets 1.0-liter TSI engine in Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Highline Plus mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and furthermore the Highline and Highline Plus also gets a option of 6-speed automatic transmission.
