Not very long before the Bajaj Pulsar VS400 makes its Indian market debut – word on the vine is that the much-anticipated KTM RC/Duke 390 based bigger Pulsar is due to be launched next month.
Ahead of the debut, the Pulsar VS400 made its appearance in Ladakh, for a TV commercial shoot is a good indicator that it’s all getting very close now. The upcoming motorcycle was spotted by a Pune resident, who says that the VS nameplate refers to Vantage Sports. It is aimed at the touring enthusiasts in the country, and will be a flagship model in Bajaj lineup.
The bigger Pulsar will be powered by a 373.27 cc single cylinder engine sourced from the KTM RC390 and Duke 390. However, the engine is tweaked to match the touring requirements, and also the triple-spark technology is added to the block. The leaked report suggest that the engine develops a lower power output of 25.74 kW (34.51 BHP) at 8,000 rpm, compared to the KTM RC/Duke 390’s (43 BHP).
So, let us hope together with our fingers crossed for the Bajaj Pulsar VS400 touring motorcycle we are going to see next-month.
