Referring to an PTI (Press Trust of India) report, Bajaj Pulsar RS200 production capacity has been doubled from 1,700 to 2,000 per month.
The Pulsar RS200 has been on-sale for more than two months now and is selling like hot cakes across 56 cities in India. The fastest Pulsar has not gone on-sale in pan-India yet, due to production constraints, now with the increase in production expect to see the Pulsar RS200 in rest of India soon. The company initially expected to sell 2,500 units a month according to the Bajaj’s prediction, but the demand was much more than expected and more than 50 percent of buyers opted for the top-end ABS variant.
The latest offering by Bajaj, the Pulsar RS200 is priced at Rs 1.18 lakh for the Standard model and Rs 1.30 lakh for the ABS model. These prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
Refresher: Based on the same platform as the Pulsar 200NS, the Pulsar RS200 is powered by the same 199.5cc Single Cylinder, 4-stroke, Triple Spark engine but gets fuel injection as standard and generates maximum power of 24.2 BHP (24.5 PS) @ 9750 rpm with max torque of 18.6 NM @ 8000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and uses the liquid cooling system. Bajaj claims the Pulsar RS200 will hit top speed of 140.8 KMPH and it should cross the 100 KMPH mark in 9.5-9.8 seconds.
