The fastest Pulsar yet, the Pulsar RS200 is scheduled to launch on 26th March, and it seems that the next launch could be the Adventure Sports version. Alongside the eagerly-awaited Pulsar RS200, the production of the Pulsar 200 AS too has already commenced. Certain reports states that the Pulsar 200 AS will replace the ageing Pulsar 220F, although the company has not made any official announcement on this matter. The 200 AS will be slotted between the 200 NS and RS 200.

Once launched, the Pulsar 200 AS will be the first tourer in premium-commuter segment. Design-wise, it gets half-fairing for an adventure-tourer look. And gets other useful upgrade needed for the touring motorcycle like the improved headlight assembly with a projector lamp and an adequate fly-screen for better wind protection & reduce wind noise. Also note the same rear mudguard from the current-gen Pulsar 150/180/220 has been carried-on, which looks outdated and the extended rear hugger is removed.

This engine is capable of producing 23.2bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 18.3Nm using a carburetor type fuel system. MotorBeam predicts a single-channel ABS would be offered on the 200 AS for better stopping performance. Also expect some changes to the suspension set-up for improved handling over rough terrain.

The company is also rumored to launch Bajaj Pulsar 150 AS later this-year.
