India’s second largest two wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto has further increased the price of KTM Duke 200 by Rs 8,000 and this is not the first hike in price. The Duke 200 was launched with an introductory price tag of Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) but was hiked by Rs 3,500 after some time. And recently revised price will fetch this bike to cost approximately Rs 1.29 lakh.
Inspite of price increase, the KTM Duke 200 does retain its value-for-money credentials, especially when viewed against the prices that the competition is charging. For instance, the Honda CBR150R commands a considerable Rs 1.17 lakh, and offers much lesser than the Duke in terms of pure performance. The Honda CBR250R is an Rs 1.50 lakh plus in India, thereby leaving KTM Duke 200 still a good option despite of this price increase.
Refresher – KTM Duke 200 is powered by single-cylinder engine. It comes fitted with liquid cooled, DOHC and 4-valve engine capable of producing 25 BHP power, and a torque of 19 Nm. The Duke 200 is specially designed with Trellis frame, upside down forks from WP, who is a specialist in making upside down forks from Europe, aluminum swing arm, with multifunction cockpit.
