India’s largest selling luxury car-maker Audi introduces ITS new luxury sedan S6 priced at Rs. 85.99 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). The new 2013 S6 will be soon available at all Audi dealerships across India immediately.
“The S6 redefines the benchmark yet again in its segment, while upholding and building on Audi’s sporting legacy,” said Audi India head Michael Perschke.
“We are now happy to add the Audi S6 to our portfolio after the launch of the new Audi RS 5 Coupe earlier this month. With these launches, I am confident of consolidating our leadership position even further,” he added.
Audi S6 is powered by 4.0 litre V8 turbo charged direct injection petrol engine, which delivers healthy 420PS of power and 550Nm of torque and is mated to a seven-speed S tronic automatic gearbox. The engine shuts down four cylinders under partial throttle to better fuel efficiency. As far as power is considered the new S6 can take up speed from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and onwards to an electronically limited top speed of 248km/h.
While Audi’s A6 and S6 have lot of similarities in exteriors but both the models include S6 badging, aluminium accents on the front grille, a lip spoiler and bigger 19 inch wheels shod with lower profile tyres.
In India Audi S6 is placed in middle line range in terms of power an price like other luxury sedans such as Volvo S60 T6, BMW 535i and Jaguar XF.
