The Chevrolet Captiva is an interesting and good looking alternative to the regular Toyota Fortuner that people usually opt for when they look for a 7-seater SUV under Rs. 30 lakh. Recently, General Motors India had launched the MY 15 Chevrolet Captiva with additional features to give it an even more confident and dynamic presence; an all-new range is priced at Rs 25,13,528/- for the manual variant and Rs 27,36,192/- for the automatic variant (all ex-showroom price, Delhi).
GM India launches the MY 15 Chevrolet Captiva.
The updated Captiva gets cruise control; third-row heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system; an electric parking brake; rain-sensing wipers; and a sunroof. Other new features include a Cluster Ionizer to purify and deodorize cabin interiors and a new Instrument Cluster for improved visibility among other attributes.
No powertrain changes – The 2.2-litre diesel engine continues on with its 186.5 bhp @ 3,800 rpm and 400 Nm @ 2,000 rpm torque output, mated either to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission and come with All Wheel Drive (AWD). The fuel efficiency for the manual variant is rated at 14.6 kmpl while for the automatic variant it is 12.12 kmpl.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Arvind Saxena, President and Managing Director, General Motors India, said –
“The launch of the all new MY 15 Captiva is in line with our business plan of capturing the all important SUV market and growing our market share.”
