Recently, we’ve heard that Aston Martin has sold out all its One-77 supercar, the model was introduced as the ‘One-77’ because a total of 77 units were built and made available to purchase. Now a crashed image of One-77 has emerged over the internet, so only 76 remains. So will Aston Martin rename their super car after this model was practically destroyed in a crash has ‘One-76’. Lol!!!
It’s a brand new car recently been delivered to the owner just a week ago and may be one of the last to be built although the number is unknown. Thanks to shmee150, a blog which keeps a track of all the known One-77 owners throughout the globe. The image shows that the One-77 is completely wrecked, but thanks to the carbon fibre monocoque chassis, the driver of the car is unhurt.
As per reports, this is the first known wreck of the Aston Martin One-77, a Rs. 20 crores super exotic car. The incident occurred in Hong Kong and was the result of the driver hitting a kerb at high speed. In such cases, usually manufacturers try and repair the car to its original condition. We hope Aston Martin too will restore the crashed One-77.
Refresher – Power for the Aston Martin One-77 comes from a 7.3-liter V12 engine generating a maximum power of 750 bhp and a peak torque of 750 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that allows the One-77 to go from 0 to 100 kph in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of over 357 kmph. Thanks to a handcrafted aluminium body, One-77 just weighs 1500 kgs.
