Japanese car maker, Nissan India today launched the the 2013 Nissan Micra facelift in India priced at Rs 4.79 lakh onwards. It competes with the likes of Ford Figo, Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R and other B segment hatchbacks. Along with the 2013 Micra, the company also launched a base-model inorder to target the B-segment small cars like Hyundai i10, Maruti Wagon R and the Chevrolet Beat with a pricing starts at Rs 3.5lakh (click here to read more).
The 2013 Micra with a facelift includes a new front grille, headlamps and front bumper which makes it look a lot more aggressive styling. At the rear are new LED tail lights while the vehicle sits on new alloy wheels with higher end trims. The company will be offering the new Micra in six colours to choose from: Olive Green (NEW), Turquoise Blue (NEW), Blade Silver, Storm White, Onyx Black and Brick Red.
On the inside, the Micra has received upgrades, with brighter fabrics and piano finished black central console with brushed silver surrounds. A new music system offers an USB, aux and even Bluetooth connectivity. Steering mounted audio controls, reverse parking camera are other new features added. The Micra now also gets four airbags on the top-of-the-line.
Under the hood, the 2013 Micra comes with the same engine option 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel and also comes with an option of CVT box on the petrol engine.The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, petrol engine that has a max power output of 76ps@ 6000rpm and a max torque of 104Nm@4000rpm. While the diesel variant continues to be powered by the Renault sourced 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that has a max power of 64ps@4000 RPM and a peak torque output of 160nm@2000rpm.
The 2013 Micra diesel comes in four trims, while the petrol is available in only three and the CVT ‘box option can be ordered only with the XV petrol variant. This CVT gearbox has been derived from the one on the Sunny, which enables the car to deliver a slightly increased power output of 77ps. The CVT variant also endows the car with a fuel economy of 19.34 kmpl, which is slightly more than manual variant’s 18.44 kmpl.
All-new 2013 Nissan Micra range comes with a standard manufacturers’ warranty of 2 years/50,000kms (whichever is earlier). In order to understand customer needs and resolve their queries, Nissan has established ‘Nissan Care’ – A Customer Contact Centre.
