After Amaze, Honda plans to launch a MPV and Compact SUV in India soon

The Japanese car maker Honda is continuously working hard in order to launch many cars into different segments in the Indian market. With the Honda Amaze all set to hit the Indian market on April 11th which would be the first car by Honda in their diesel segment in India, after which it would be followed by launch of various models which would comprise of a MPV and an compact SUV.

Honda is planning to launch a compact SUV which would be based on Honda Jazz and would be expected by the end of next year or early 2015. Although the price of this compact SUV has not yet been revealed, it is expected to be a strong competitor to its rivals such as Renault Duster and the upcoming Ford EcoSport. Honda is working hard with the exteriors and interiors of this compact SUV and would continue to have same engine as the new Jazz along with the 1.5-litre diesel engine powered in the upcoming Honda Amaze.

Along with other launches, Honda is also planning for the launch of the all-new MPV which would compete the likes of Toyota Innova, Maruti Ertiga, Xylo and some more cars in this segment. The 1.5-litre diesel engine developed for Amaze would also be used in this new MPV which has the maximum power of 100 PS at a torque of 200 Nm.
