Hyundai are currently developing the next-generation of their compact sedan, the Xcent. It on will be based on the same platform as that of the next-generation Grand i10. Reports suggest that Hyundai will bring the car to the Indian market in early-2020.
The next-generation Xcent will be taller and wider compared to the current model. It will be more feature-packed and spacious than it’s competitors when it gets launched. The current Xcent is not selling in numbers expected by Hyundai, so we can expect the automaker to make the car look more appealing.
This will include a new grille, headlamps and fog-lamps in touch with Hyundai’s current design language. The rear may feature a larger boot along with attractive tail-lamps. Engine-wise, Hyundai are yet to reveal the details of the powertrain.
We can expect it to arrive more sooner than later. When launched, the next-generation Xcent will have its rivals in the form of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire, Tata Tigor and the Volkswagen Ameo. Prices are expected to begin from Rs.7 lakh and go all the way to Rs.10 lakh for the top trims.
