A Couple of weeks back we brought to you the details of the new Bajaj Boxer 150 a few days back. While we had some info and pics back then, now these are official photos, specs and the press release of the Bharat Bike from Bajaj Auto.
The Bajaj Boxer brand makes a powerful comeback in a new avatar, now powered by a 150cc motor. The new Boxer is priced at Rs 42,000 (ex-showroom).
Powered by a single cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled 144.8cc motor and with power output of 11.83bhp and 1.25kgm, the bike is designed for use and abuse in all kinds of terrain. The power figures are around 50percent more than the standard 100cc bikes available in the market.
The new Boxer now features an electric start, a rugged frame, swing arm and chassis, metal body parts, twin spring SNS suspension and a heavy duty carrier. Meatier tyres further aid grip and stability for rough road and heavy load conditions.
This launch is a part of Bajaj’s strategy of providing relevant differentiated products to meet the needs of a variety of consumers. The bike maker has focused more on performance with a bigger engine, frame, bigger tyres, better suspension, headlights and a bigger, comfortable seat.
Bajaj Auto has positioned the new Boxer as the ‘Bharat’ bike and the company believes this is the bike that the real India needs.
