After what seemed like round after round of spyshots, the Honda WR-V is finally nearing its unveiling – the Japenese carmaker has released teaser renderings of its answer to the i20 Active, Fiat Avventura and the Etios Cross, ahead of its official debut at the upcoming 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show.
As expected the WR-V looks almost nothing like the Honda Jazz with high-heels, and instead adopts a aggressive front fascia with muscular touches along with a prominent chin. Although the doors and windows are identical to the Jazz, the crossover will get new bumpers, chrome grille and redesigned headlamps. The WR-V will also get new alloy wheels which will raise the appeal of the car.
The interiors of the WR-V will likely be similar to that of the Jazz but one can expect some additional equipment and an exclusive color theme. Engine too would be carried forward from the Jazz include the1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and the 1.5-litre Earth Dreams i-DTEC diesel engine. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox for the petrol motor; the diesel unit is mated to a 6-speed manual.
