Bajaj has been laying low for a while now when it comes to new launches. The brand’s sales have been witnessing a slight downfall too with the likes of Honda gaining on market share. Nevertheless, it still has its exports going strong in its favour. But come 2015, Bajaj has a major turn around in store and wants to get the competitors thinking.
Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS previewed at Turkey.
Bajaj has a slew of products lined up for launch in 2015. To start off, the year which has just begun will see the launch of 200 SS in the first quarter of 2015. This will be a faired version of the Pulsar 200NS and the bike has been anticipated for quite a while in the country. It will also feature an ABS option. It will be priced around the Rs 1.2 lakh mark.
That is not all, the KTM RC 390 based Pulsar 400 SS will be launched alongside it in the country. It will pegged around the Rs 1.8 lakh mark and will share majority of its looks with the Pulsar 200 SS. The treatment of the two will be similar to the likes of RC 200 and RC 390 as they will be based on the KTM twins. However, we are not sure if the cruiser version of the Pulsar 400 SS, the Pulsar 400 CS would make way this-year. If yes, it could deliver higher power and will be priced at Rs 2 lakh.

The details of the remaining two all-new motorcycles are unknown at the moment, however, considering the reports on LiveMint, we believe that both are entry-level commuter motorcycles to make the presence of two new brands, one in the 100cc segment while the other in the 125cc space.
The remaining Pulsar line-up is in for a refresh too. The Pulsar 150 will sport NS-like body panels, tank, headlight and also gets Nitrox mono-shock suspension at rear. This would make the bike better equipped against the competition (read as Gixxer, RTR160, Unicorn 160) as it has been losing out on sales due to the lack of a facelift for a long while now. The engine under the hood will be the same as the Pulsar 150 but Bajaj will add triple spark plug and four valves to the engine to produce better power and torque.

The Platina will be getting a refresh as Bajaj is trying to get a strong hold in the 125cc segment in which it has been losing out on ground pretty fast. A new Discover is in the works too but details about it are a bit unknown for the time being. But what we can be sure of for the time being is the fact that a pretty interesting 2015 is in store for us.
