More photos of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS, this time of the Production-spec version. The motorcycle has already made its official debut in Turkey, and soon is expected to make debut in India. The pictures are from a dealer meet that took place in Turkey recently, making us believe that Turkey would be one of the first few markets to get this new fully-faired Pulsar 200 SS.

In India, the company is expected to launch Pulsar 200 SS either later next-month or early December because it hasn’t showcased the motorcycle to the Indian dealers yet and the training is yet to start. The Pulsar 200 SS looks exactly like the 400 SS shown at the 2014 Auto Expo, with just a difference of new color scheme which is a mix of black, white and yellow.
The SuperSport styling will please most with those twin projector headlights, eye brow DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), twin L-shaped tail lights and a sharp full fairing. Furthermore, the Pulsar 200 SS gets split seat, body integrated grab rails, clip on handle bars, underbelly exhaust, 200 SS sticker next to rear seat (as seen in other Pulsar’s), and a Pulsar logo on the fuel tank.

It is no surprise that this bike would carry the same engine as that of Pulsar 200 NS. The 199.5 cc engine with triple spark technology develops 23.52 PS @ 9500 rpm max power and 18.3 Nm @ 8000 rpm. We could expect the 200 SS to get a higher power tune with FI technology which will help in increasing the fuel efficiency up a notch or two and will make the throttle response crisper.
The full-body kit will definitely add to extra body weight but it will also lend aerodynamic advantage over its naked sibling 200 NS. The Pulsar 200 SS is speculated to come without ABS to keep costs in check. One of the reasons the company hasn’t launched the bike yet is because of the recently launched KTM RC200 and the RC390. The timeline of the Pulsar 200 SS is decided in such a way that, it won’t affect the Austrian bikes sales.
Retaining the Pulsar value for money scheme, we are expecting this new Pulsar 200 SS to be priced somewhere around Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
