Anthony Colard is one of the most notable French industrial designer. He was an ex-employee with General Motor’s European Design Center and is a highly creativity professional. Anthony Colard has come up with a pretty roadster. It has been named AC 5-28 Mont Ventoux design study.

The mystery behind the name, as Colard explains, is: Anthony Colard 500 HP 2800 cc. Mont Ventoux has been added to the name of this roadster as it is one of the most famous and oldest hill climb races in France. However, the original plan for the car was to be a Ducati Desmosedici V8 powered lithe and agile roadster which was actually the winner of Local Motors Car Design competition held in the year 2009, to make it as Local Motors Extreme.

This amazing roadster came into the attention of Rashid Al Shaali, an avid automotive entrepreneur who has been the two time UAE Time Attack champion. We have now heard that he is planning to create a limited edition run of only 25 units of this gorgeous AC 5-28 Mont Ventoux. Shaali will be naming it as the Dubai Roadster. The Dubai roadster will comes with LS V8 engine that has been sourced from General Motors. It will deliver a power output of 400 HP. The roadster will have carbon fiber or titanium body which will make it lightweight. The car will be able to accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds!

As far as we know, the orders have already started to come in though there is no working prototype of the roadster ready. There are just some 3D models and digital renderings. It is being expected that the final product will be unveiled at the 2015 Dubai Motor Show by which time the 25 units will be ready for sale each at the price of 400,000 Emirati Dirham.
