American car manufacturer, Chevrolet is all-set to launch its premium hatchback the Chevrolet Sail U-VA on November 2. This car is a replacement for the discontinued Chevrolet Aveo U-VA, hence we predict it to bepriced in the range of Rs 4 lakh and more. The Sail U-VA will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo, Nissan Micra, Toyota Etios Liva and Honda Jazz.
Just before the official launch the company has gone live with the teaser website for the upcoming Chevrolet Sail U-VA. This website shares some information about Sail U-VA specifications which have already impressed many car buyers and it is believed that this car has already received decent bookings prior to its launch.
The company has also released a 12 seconds short teaser video which reveals only the front, side and it also shows the seating space inside. I addition to it, it also shows the boot space and that it can even hold baggage and a small bicycle. All these suggest the car to be one that will be preferred by people who wish to have a car that has unbeatable looks, lots of space and comfort seating inside and it can hold their small commuting baggage.
Refresher – Chevrolet Sail will come in both diesel and petrol engine options. Where the petrol version will house the similar Smartech 1.2-litre petrol that currently does it duty to the Beat, the diesel version will be powered by the fiat sourced 1.3-litre turbo jet diesel engine, the similar is used by most of its competitors in India. So having powered by these proven and potent engines, fuel economy of the petrol and diesel versions will be around 18.2 kmpl and 22.1 kmpl respectively.
