The video of a nine-year-old boy driving a Ferrari F430 on YouTube draws tremendous global response. The boy driving a Ferrari F430 is his early days, How Lucky these Kids would be! Yes, the story is from India, probably Kochi. No doubt its safe driving and a lot of what if’s to be answered, and yes, also the missing needful, a drivers licence.
What’s even more surprising – the passenger seat also has a kid of the same age! And the kid smoothly drives in a Ferrari without even a hint of surprise or fear on his face, looks like he has driven it couple of times before too. While lot of his friends are waiting on bicycle for him to finish his lap, he calmly drives in a Ferrari F430.
This video was filmed by the boy’s mother and posted online by his father. While many user of the Internet have criticised the parents for what they call ‘irresponsible parenting,’ the boy’s mother insists that she is proud of her ‘talented’ son’s ‘achievement’ at this young age.
“It was his ninth birthday, and since he was insisting for months, we allowed him to drive the Ferrari. He is a cautious and confident driver. I am proud of him,” Amal Nisham, the mother of the boy, told NDTV. Further defending herself, she said her son drove the Ferrari on a “private road” in their residential colony and added that she ensured that no child was around at the time.
Parents more often than not, scold their children 18 years and above for speeding on public roads and here we find adults aware of the fact that the two children have taken a super car on a joyride. Of course, the episode did put the lives of children in the neighborhood at risk too, but what we see is a very sensible child with no intention to speed.
“It’s only because my son is driving a Ferrari that it is being made an issue”, the child’s mother further said and added, “He has got talent in him. He likes driving cars and drives them well. I think we were just boosting him. We were trying to build the talent he has got.”
The boy’s parents say he has driven several other cars owned by them including a Lamborghini, Bentley and Porsche. “I am proud of him. He drives well. It is not easy for a child to achieve such a feat at this young age,” the mother said. And this video is likely to reach the 1,000,000 viewer mark this week.
Earlier this month in Aurangabad, a teenaged son of a politician killed a two-year old while speeding in his SUV.
