SPIED: Maruti Vitara Brezza BS6 facelift – redesigned front end?

Spy pictures of what seems to be the facelift of Maruti Vitara Brezza surfaced online.

The spy photos show the updated Brezza is likely to bring minor cosmetic improvements to the outside. The car has a new chrome grille and twin-pod headlamp clusters have been redesigned. The front bumper of dual-tone has a silver patch and a black skid plate.

ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, black plastic cladding around the wheel arches and along the rocker panels, and black alloy wheels have black-out A, B and C-pillars. However, it does not have fog lamps.

Under the bonnet, the new Brezza is expected to have a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine which also powers the Ciaz and Ertiga. This engine produces 103 BHP and 138 Nm torque. It could be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, whereas a 4-speed automatic transmission could be introduced later.

The Vitara Brezza is currently only available with a 1.3-liter, 4-cylinder diesel engine generating 89 BHP and 200 Nm of torque. It is available with either a manual 5-speed or a fully automatic 5-speed (AMT) transmission.
