2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV gets increased range upto 565 km

With an increased range of up to 565 km on a single charge, the all-electric Chevrolet Bolt EV can now go further than ever before. The Bolt EV is a practical everyday option for environmentally conscious users, an improvement of 45 km on previous models.

The Bolt EV, which debuted at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show, was one of Chevrolet’s most awaited vehicles ever, and the 2020 version will draw on this consumer anticipation and accelerate further acceptance across the Middle East.

Chevrolet’s battery technology department, responding to customer feedback, invested in research and development to achieve this impressive improvement in the scope. They enhanced the energy of the cell electrodes by making small yet impactful changes to the cell chemistry, allowing more scope. This innovative thinking enabled the team to improve the range without changing the physical battery pack and how it integrates into the structure of the vehicle.

“The Chevrolet Bolt EV, as a nameplate, is truly driving the future,” commented Farah Amhaz, Head of Brand – Chevrolet Middle East. “As we look to a smarter, more sustainable future, the 2020 Bolt EV is an integral vehicle in bringing our future of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, Zero Congestion to the region.”

A game changer in the space of an electric vehicle, the Bolt EV is Chevrolet’s first fully electric car. Promising worry-free range and fun-to-drive features, since hitting roads in the UAE in 2018, the Bolt EV has changed customer perceptions of electric driving.

By the end of 2019, the 2020 Bolt EV will arrive in the Middle East in select markets including the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan and Lebanon.
