Datsun will look to upgrade their Go hatchback and Go+ family wagon in India. The automaker recently teased both facelifted models and will launch them during the upcoming festive season. Now the facelifted models have been spotted at an unknown Datsun dealership in India.
The facelift will feature exterior changes like a new front bumper, integrated LED DRL’s and a hexagonal grille. It also sports 14-inch alloy wheels and turn indicators on the wing mirror. On the inside, the major highlight will be the first-in-segment 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Both these models will get an unique styling kit in Indonesia, which is likely to be available on the India-spec models as well. The Go and Go+will be based on Nissan’s ‘V’ platform, which will be helpful in reducing the costs of the vehicle. Both the Go and Go+ will come with features such as rear parking sensors, rear wipers, power windows, electrically adjustable mirrors and a driver side airbag.
Engine-wise, the Go and Go+ will be powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 68 BHP of power and 104 Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, with an AMT version arriving later on.
We can expect the Go and Go+ facelifts to come at an affordable price when launched. The Datsun Go facelift will have its rivals in the form of the Renault Kwid and the Maruti Suzuki Alto. On the other hand, the Go+ will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R and the upcoming Hyundai Santro.
