Hyundai will bring the 2018 version of its strong seller, the i20 next-year to our market. The South Korean automaker is expected to showcase the car in the 2018 Auto Expo to be held in Greater Noida. Many spyshots have emerged regarding the car undergoing testing in the past few months.
This may give us a clue that Hyundai may schedule a launch in the first half of 2018 for the facelifted i20. It will carry a refreshed front and rear ends, and may come with more features. Some of them include ABS and Airbags as standard and a touchscreen infotainment system.
Hyundai will give the 2018 i20 the same set of engines, namely the 1.4 and 1.2 litre petrol engines, and also the 1.4 litre CRDi diesel engine. There are rumours that Hyundai will introduce a Turbocharged 1.0 litre petrol engine developing in excess of 100 bhp of power. The i20 will also be feature rich and is expected to be priced around the Maruti Baleno.
Hyundai is expected to give the car a more matured styling. This will come in order to make the car look more palatable than the current model. The 2018 i20 will rival the likes of the Maruti Baleno and the Honda Jazz.
